Mud Pie Baby Girls Newborn Little Chick Bubble Romper - Adorable Spring & Easter Outfit for Infants, Perfect for Photoshoots & Special Occasions

Okay. I'm a Mudpie fan. I love their kid/baby clothing. But this last purchase has me a bit puzzled. The website describes the fabric for this romper as cotton. They didn't mention it's comparable to outdoor upholstery cotton. Thickest cotton ever. It literally feels like my outdoor chair cushions. Not sure why they chose the material they did, but it seems illogical to make a SUMMER romper out of material that gives me a heat rash just thinking about it. A possible pro to this outdoor fabric would be that as with my patio furniture, if wet, liquid beads off and renders the chair unharmed (or stained rather); and perhaps the same result will occur if my toddler decides to pour juice down herself, as she often decides to do, and she will be free from any stain. But my fear is that although she will be dry on the outside from this ultra waterproof fabric, she will be drenched with sweat on the inside due to the simple fact that she might as well be wearing a wool sundress. Not cool, Mudpie, not cool.Super cute and sturdy outfit. Fits as expected. Didn't inspect all the way before washing and was bummed to see that the shoulder strap was coming out of the seam. Had to re-sew the strap on. Looks great for pictures.Super cute BUT the material feels like cardboard. I had bought this thinking it would be a good light weight outfit to wear in the summer hear. It is not soft at all and I can't imagine it would feel good on any skin, let along a baby's skin. RETURNING!Cute but runs small. We wore it once and probably won't be able to wear it again.The outfit is cute. The fabric was a little different than expected, but it looked super adorable on my child.straps too long and I thought they could be tied and untied to adjust size but not the case, so too large. Had already washed because didn't want to try unwashed clothes on baby so had to keep. The other items were obviously way too long so returned those for refundSoooooooooo cute. Adorable design, the bird pockets are even cuter in person with little ribbons off the sides, the material is a weird stiff thick material but it seems if you wash it a lot it will soften up. Also like the way the shoulder ties are sewn on so they can't untie. Very cute and I wish the 12-18 mo fit my 5 mo old now, but we're just going to have to wait!Fabric is stiff, shoulder ties are weirdly thick. We kept it but she only wore it once because it just didn't seem like she was comfortable in it.
